The phone's own parental controls work, but only with the company that made the phone, and only if the child has an account there. With an iPhone, an Android and a PC in the house, you set it up in three different places.

With InfoPeak Parental Controls the filter sits on the device itself. The same kind of profile works on your child's phone, tablet and computer, and your child needs no account.

Parental controls live in the Family app, where you also invite the family, set up your domain and keep an eye on storage.

Setup takes a few minutes per device. On Android you enter the profile's address under Private DNS, and on iPhone, iPad and Mac you install a small settings file.

Questions about parental controls

Does my child need an InfoPeak account?
No. The profile is set up on your child's device and works whatever apps and accounts your child uses. If your child wants their own mail, there is room for that in Family.
Which devices does it work on?
Android via Private DNS, iPhone, iPad and Mac via a small settings file, and Windows and browsers via secure DNS.
Can my child turn it off?
The filter sits in the device's network settings. A child who can change them can also remove the profile, so lock the settings with the device's own parental passcode on the youngest children's devices.
Are parental controls included in One?
No, parental controls are only included in InfoPeak Family. One and Shield filter ads, trackers and harmful sites on your own devices.
What do you store about the sites my children visit?
Lookups are stored for 24 hours with a shortened IP address, so you can see what was blocked. Then they are deleted. The server is in the EU.
Can InfoPeak limit screen time or show where my child is?
No. InfoPeak Parental Controls filter what can be opened online. Screen time, app approval and location are handled by the phone's own tools, Screen Time on iPhone and Family Link on Android, and they work well alongside the profile.
